Talebani in elicottero? Pericoloso pensarlo, addirittura letale dirlo
Fearing exposure of the double game with the Taliban they have been playing in Afghanistan, the British appear to have killed the journalist who was exposing it. After Afghan President Karzai's statements about the helicopters flying opposition militants to the North, and further discussion with the U.S. Ambassador, where he denied it was U.S. helicopters, a major discussion has started in Afghan media about the "ghost helicopters."
In this debate, the British are pointed out openly and made a laughingstock for their double game. The Afghan newspaper Wise (sp?) has published a cartoon showing a helicopter with a big British flag transporting typical Taliban, who are sneaking out of the helicopter with typical turbans and weapons.
But the journalist who originally made the revelation to President Karzai, and was preparing another article about similar transport of militants by helicopter from Afghanistan to Xinjiang in western China, has in the meantime been shot by British military forces under mysterious circumstances. He had been working as an interpreter for a British journalist when the two were kidnapped. In the rescue operation, the British journalist was liberated by British Special Forces, but the Afghan interpreter/journalist was shot from the British side.
